The Academy

1st Grade - Lorrie Warwick

Hello My name is Lorrie Warwick and I am the First grade teacher here at the Academy. I was born and raised in the Montpelier, Idaho area. I was very much involved with horses as a child and participated in horse 4-H and rode. I was also active and competed in volleyball, basketball and track all through my high school years.
I continue to enjoy an active lifestyle. I have a passion for running and the outdoors. My husband and I have 6 children together- 4 boys and 2 girls. We also have 2 grand babies!
I worked at the Pocatello Police Department for 4 years while finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary & Special education. After obtaining my degree, I worked for Idaho Health and Welfare Infant/Toddler program where I provided special services for children birth to 3 years of age with developmental disabilities.
I worked in Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 for 4 years as a Special Services teacher. I worked with kids in Kindergarten through sixth grade.
I enjoyed my special education positions but wanted to expand my teaching to a whole classroom environment, which brought me to the Academy 7 years ago. Since coming to the Academy, I achieved my Masters Degree through Lesley University in Curriculum & Instruction in 2010.
I am very happy to be a part of such a wonderful school and staff here at the Academy.
