Jolene Hurst - 4th Grade
Hi, I am Jolene Hurst. I was born and raised in northern Arizona. I received my teaching degree at SUU in Southern Utah. I taught two years on the Navajo Indian Reservation at a boarding school. That was a great cultural experience. At that point in my life I got married to George Hurst. He joined the Air Force and we moved to Maine where I taught a year of music. He was later transferred to Spokane, Washington, where I earned my Montessori Teaching certificate. I taught in Montessori schools for 5 years. I home schooled my girls for 3 ½ years and loved my time with them.
My hobbies are gardening, sewing, being outside, traveling, and being with my family. I enjoy music, reading and learning. I have 5 children, 2 boys and 3 girls, and 5 grandchildren.
I have been in Pocatello now for 10 years. I have been with Connor Academy since the beginning, and feel blessed to be apart of this great school.
