Kelly Watson - 5th Grade
I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. I moved here in 1985 to attend I.S.U. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in humanities and a component in reading. After graduating, for a short time I worked as an aide at CreAct and as a teacher in the After School Program at Jefferson Elementary. In 1994, I began teaching 6th grade at Inkom Elementary. I have taught 6th, 3rd, and 4th grades for the first 12 years of teaching. Currently, I am teaching 5th grade here at the Academy. I also have a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction/Literacy.
I am married to Scott Watson, and we have two sons, Joel and Colby. We also have 4 grandchildren, Gavin, Nevaeh, Zoe, and Taylor.
My favorite activities are centered around my family, the arts, travel, and the outdoors.
It is an honor for me to be here at the Academy. I am here because I believe in the Harbor Method. What a privilege to be part of this culture, and to work with such outstanding people!
